DESCRIPTION

Spectrazole-G cream is a combination of 3 medicine, betamethasone Clotrimazole and Gentamicin topical combination is used to treat Mix infection of fungus & bacteria.

Betamethasone
is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It is a strong corticosteroid. It works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching and other discomfort of fungus infections.

Clotrimazole
works by killing the fungus or preventing its growth.

Gentamicin
is a wide spectrum antibiotic that provides highly effective topical treatment in primary and secondary bacterial infections of the skin.

INDICATIONS/USES

Betamethasone, Clotrimazole and gentamicin (Spectrazole-G) Cream is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
  • Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses
  • Candidiasis
  • Tinea versicolor
  • Folliculitis
  • Furunculosis
  • Paronychia
  • Minor bacterial skin infections
PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine.
PRECAUTIONS
  • Long-term continuous topical therapy with SPECTRAZOLE-G should be avoided.
  • Due to the content of corticosteroid, SPECTRAZOLE-G should be used with care near the eyes. Avoid getting SPECTRAZOLE-G into the eyes.
  • Due to the content of corticosteroid having immunosuppressant effect, SPECTRAZOLE-G may be associated with increased susceptibility to infection, aggravation of existing infection, and activation of latent infection. It is advised to switch to systemic treatment if infection cannot be controlled with topical treatment.
  • Due to the content of betamethasone Dipropionate, prolonged topical use of SPECTRAZOLE-G may cause skin atrophy.
  • Instruct patients not to smoke or go near naked flames - risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc.) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard.
DOSAGE/DIRECTION FOR USE
  • Wash your hands before and after using this medicine.
  • Apply a thin layer of this medicine to the affected area of the skin. Rub it in gently.
  • Do not bandage or otherwise wrap the skin being treated unless directed to do so by your doctor.
  • Do not cover, wrap, or wear tight fitting clothes over your treated skin areas unless directed by your doctor. Allow the medicine to dry before putting on your clothes.
  • Do not use the cream to treat tinea Cruris and tinea corporis for more than 2 weeks, and for tinea Pedis for more than 4 weeks unless your doctor has told you to.
Duration of Treatment:
Duration of therapy varies depending upon the extent and location of disease and patient response. However, if clinical improvement is not achieved by three to four weeks, diagnosis should be reviewed.

USAGE IN CHILDREN

Children younger than 17 years of age—Use is not recommended.
Never use Spectrazole-G cream to treat diaper rash.
